Leadership
Kurt Culbertson, Chairman of the Board, is a graduate of Louisiana State University with an MBA in real estate from Southern Methodist University. Kurt is a full member of the Urban Land Institute, participating in the Recreation Development Council, and chair of the Rocky Mountain chapter of the Young Presidents Organization. Kurt’s work in sustainable development strategies has earned him recognition both nationally and internationally. He is an ASLA fellow, recipient of a Fulbright Scholarship and a fellow of Dumbarton Oaks. |

| Rebecca Zimmermann is president of Design Workshop. She is involved in tourism, community, economic and marketing-related consulting. She is highly recognized for her work with resort communities including visitor services analysis, market definition, positioning and tourism planning; and in urban areas for brownfield redevelopment, development entitlements and real estate economics. She holds an MBA degree from the University of Colorado and bachelors degrees in Communication and Business Administration from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas. Becky is a member of ULI, serving on the Recreation Development Council and she teaches Marketing of Real Estate classes for the ULI Real Estate School. |

Richard Shaw graduated from Utah State University with honors and earned his MLA from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard, where he was awarded the Jacob Weidenman Traveling Fellowship. He has served as a Fulbright Scholar and is a fellow of Dumbarton Oaks, as well as a full member of the Urban Land Institute with membership in the Retail Development and Recreation Development councils. |

| Todd Johnson has focused his efforts in the planning and design of urban redevelopment and brownfield sites. Todd holds a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the Graduate School of Design at Harvard University and is a Fellow of the American Society of Landscape Architects. He has worked on redevelopment and urban design projects in the U.S., Canada, the Middle East and the Far East. |

| Terrall Budge graduated from Utah State University and earned his master’s degree with distinction in landscape architecture from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design, where he also worked as a teaching fellow. He was awarded the Jacob Weidenman Prize at Harvard for outstanding ability and talent in design. Terrall is a full member of the American Society of Landscape Architects and an associate member of the Urban Land Institute, serving as a panel member on several advisory service panels. |

| Glenn Walters has 22 years of experience in creative land planning, landscape architecture, and real-estate development in North Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Hawaii, Arizona, Las Vegas, Pennsylvania, New England, California, Idaho, Oregon and Colorado. His development experience combined with his landscape architecture and planning background enables particular insight into new community, resort village, and urban design projects. His current interests lie in formulating meaningful design solutions that balance environmental responsibility with place-making and economic considerations. Glenn holds a BLA from the University of Georgia and an MLA from Penn State, where his thesis work was focused on Environmental Assessment for the Site Design Process. |

Mary Fox is responsible for all areas of human resources including professional development, total compensation, recruiting and hiring. She has expanded networking tools, the summer internship and Design U and also helped create Legacy Weeks. Mary has a master’s of business administration from the University of Denver. She earned her Senior Professional Human Resources certification in 1995 and is experienced or certified to administer and interpret individual and team assessments, provide personal and professional coaching services, develop compensation programs and conduct group facilitation. Currently, Mary is co-facilitating the alignment sessions in every office to foster individual support of firm-wide Legacy Design objectives. |

Jim MacRae has worked on various retail, mixed-use, urban and entertainment projects in the United States and abroad, including many notable projects such as the Getty Center, MCA Citywalk and Skirball Cultural Center — all in Southern California. He continues to build upon his design and management skills by participating in the development of retail projects in Palm Desert, California, and in Denver, Colorado, as well as urban and resort projects in Mexico, Vancouver, and South Korea. |

Jeff Zimmermann has exceptional experience in the areas of golf course planning and design, resort planning and design, park design, and planned community development. His professional experience began in our Aspen office and he is now working as a Principal in Denver which has provided him with a broad range of expertise, allowing him to work on planning and design projects across the United States, Mexico, and South America. Jeff has participated in the design and management of golf, resort, and community projects in Arizona, California, Colorado, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Washington, West Virginia. |
