ASPEN — Design Workshop is pleased to announce the recent addition of two new landscape architects to its Aspen office, Paul Squadrito and Devin Gardiner, raising the number of staff there to 34.

Squadrito received his bachelor’s in landscape architecture from Pennsylvania State University in 1992. He worked for David Jensen & Associates as well as Downing, Thorpe and James in Boulder, Colorado, before moving to Santa Monica, California, to work for EDSA in 2002. There, Squadrito worked on a multitude of projects, including casino expansions, and enjoyed the detail involved in construction documentation. His first day at Design Workshop was February 27.

Gardiner graduated from Utah State University in 2004 with a bachelor’s in landscape architecture and a minor in horticulture. While in school, Gardiner worked for landscaping firms in Morgan, Utah, and Telluride, Colorado, and after graduation, moved to the Aspen area, where he worked for a planning firm. His first day at Design Workshop was March 1.

Founded in 1969, Design Workshop practices sustainable design and planning on sites ranging from urban infill, parks and open-space projects to brownfield redevelopment and resorts. The firm, which has been honored with more than 120 awards for design and planning, has offices in Aspen, Denver, Santa Fe, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, South Lake Tahoe and Asheville, N.C.
