Design Workshop of Aspen Announces New Principals, Associates

Aspen, CO – The Aspen office of Design Workshop has promoted two staff members as principals and two as associates. Rebecca Leonard and Gyles Thornley were promoted to principal. New associates include: Philip Jeffreys and Paul Squadrito. The announcement of the new positions was a result of peer and management recognition of ongoing achievement and leadership capability among the selected candidates.
Rebecca Leonard is a planner with experience in the areas of community planning, urban design, tourism planning, regional planning, and site design. She often focuses on projects that represent the heart of the community. Rebecca is currently working on projects for the firm from Austin, Texas and has been at Design Workshop since February 2005. Gyles Thornley is a landscape architect who has served as operations manager of the Aspen office and is currently involved in the areas of community master planning, urban design, brownfilds, infill redevelopment, tourism planning and site design. Gyles has been with the firm since October 1999.
Philip Jeffreys is a real estate analyst and operations manager of Design Workshop’s Aspen office. He assists clients in identifying and implementing solutions that enable their real estate assets to grow and has been with the firm for three years. Paul Squadrito is a landscape architect and project manager with a focus on site design and construction for destination resorts, tourism communities, parks and open space, residential and mixed-use communities and private residences. Paul has been with Design Workshop for two years.
