Tesuque Rose Santa Fe, New Mexico Client: Withheld at Client’s RequestTesuque Rose is a cottage-sized, Territorial-style adobe home that has been recognized as a model of northern New Mexico vernacular style. The landscape design sought to enhance and preserve the rustic quality of the modestly scaled site and to renovate a neglected entertainment area. Footbridges over Tesuque Creek, which runs along the site’s edge, lead visitors to the home, along with a driveway created with native river rocks. This Santa Fe-style cottage garden is filled with a colorful mix of drought- tolerant perennials and shrub roses that ramble through the neat white-picket fences and over short adobe walls. The design created a sitting garden for the master bedroom and renovated the entertaining spaces with new paving, a semi-circle for seating, refurbished stone walls and serving counters, and a new grill.
