Summer InternshipsThe 2008 Summer Internship was hosted by our office in Denver, Colorado. The Program The annual Summer Internship begins in late May with an intensive charette followed by a paid internship in one of Design Workshop’s offices. The program is designed to expose students to an interactive professional office environment and a team of experienced design professionals. This program is available for undergraduate or graduate students in Landscape Architecture, Planning, Architecture, Urban Design Business and Real Estate programs. The Charrette The workshop charrette is intended to provide an opportunity for students to work with Principals and senior-level staff on a project within the local community. Each year a different Design Workshop office is selected to host the charrette. On completion of the charrette process the students present their planning and design recommendations to the client and other interested parties from the public and private sectors. The Internship Selected students will spend approximately 10 weeks working as an intern in a Design Workshop office in the U.S. Students will be exposed to both the creative and business environment. Assignments will vary and include project research, site visits, sketching, computer production, design reviews, and assisting on marketing proposals.
