Chicago is the primary hub of the Midwest. Perched at the nexus of Lake Michigan, between the prairies to the west and big woods to the north, the Chicagoland area, with a population of almost 8 Million is known for bold planning and rich landscape architecture tradition that has included eminent practitioners such as Daniel Burnham, Jens Jensen, George Kessler and Alfred Caldwell. It is also an international hub for architecture with many large firms located close to our office.
The Chicago office is led by Office Director, Jon Brooke, and Associate, Sara Egan. Please contact them for business development inquiries.
Chicago is a center of visual and performing arts, and has a nationally recognized restaurant community, and burgeoning craft brewing and micro-distiller communities. The city has long been a market leader in green building the past decade with over 5 million square feet of green roofs, as well as a vibrant “City Green” movement. Recent trends also include significant development of downtown residential buildings and hotels. DW’s recent expansion into the Chicago market will help us serve our existing regional and national clients as well as increase our ability to serve the Midwest and Northeast.
