Design Workshop principal appointed to Board of Parks and Outdoor Recreation
ASPEN, CO – Bill Kane, a principal at Design Workshop’s Aspen office, has been named a member of the Colorado Board of Parks and Outdoor Recreation. The five-member board directs policy for Colorado’s 41 state parks.
As the board member for the public-at-large, Kane’s leadership will contribute a broad, statewide perspective to the different regional focuses of the rest of the board. Appointed by Governor Bill Ritter for a four-year term, Kane will help the board guide eight programs within the state parks program, including the Trails Program, the Resource Stewardship Section, and the Land and Conservation Fund. As a Design Workshop staff member, a company dedicated to designing projects of lasting environmental, economic, and community value, Kane brings relevant insight to the management of Colorado’s outdoor resources, a vital part of the state’s economy and quality of life.
