Design Workshop was hired to create a town center that ties several retail streets together and provides a monumental destination for the community and region-at-large. Through Design Workshop's design efforts, The Orchard Town Center will differentiate itself from other retail projects by creating a strong pedestrian link between the retail district and adjacent residential neighborhood, and by combining vertical canopy elements with interesting monumental floors and a range of community amenities and pocket parks. Pedestrian movement across the entire length of the town square is stimulated by food, unique amenities and interesting public spaces that residents and visitors will view as being the heart and soul of the community.
