Meadows Town Center
Parks Master Plan
Castle Rock, Colorado
Client: Castle Rock Development Company
Thirty acres of integrated parks at the Meadows Town Center create a unique series of community public spaces that reconnect residents with the natural amenities of the Castle Rock landscape. This diversity of parks was created by drawing from the landscape's native plant materials and the symbolic importance of the historic meadows. This theme was then reinforced through water conservation strategies and the creative use of native grasses throughout the parks' landscape. Six neighborhood parks and a series of regional connections are organized around a 10-acre central park and plaza. An extensive trail system that links the community parks to the larger regional open spaces was used to connect local neighborhoods and the surrounding Castle Rock community in a natural setting.
