Design Workshop Expands Website to Address Increase in Global Demand for Its Services

New foreign language section highlights firm's international project work and new blog showcases staff expertise along with ideas connected to DW Legacy Design®

16 June 2011

DenverDesign Workshop, an international landscape architecture, land planning, urban design and strategic services firm with six offices in the U.S. and work spanning the globe, recently launched a new foreign language section and blog on its website to enhance its reach to target audiences and provide timely, informative content about the firm’s services and distinctive perspective on industry trends.

Design Workshop anticipates that international project work will double as a percentage of total revenue in 2011 as compared to 2010. Because of this, the firm added foreign language sections to provide an overview of its services in six different languages: Spanish, Chinese, Korean, Portuguese, Russian, Arabic, and Afrikaans. Highlights of the firm’s past and current international project work include site design for residential towers and two million square feet of retail in Shenzen, China; planning and design of an eco-resort in Panama; and a master tourism plan for the Petra Region in Jordan (a UNESCO World Heritage Site).

In addition, Design Workshop is collaborating with international publishers to produce versions of its Toward Legacy book in Chinese, Spanish and Korean. The book is a visual and literary journey through 35 years of the firm’s evolution and delves into DW Legacy Design®—the philosophy that has formed a systematic approach to its work.

Design Workshop’s new blog, DW Synthesis, is a collaborative effort by the firm’s entire team and features a variety of postings that include an inside look at its DW Legacy Design® philosophy, current project work, insights on dealing with issues such as leading through change, lessons learned from past projects, and other relevant topics and ideas.
