Design Workshop’s Raleigh Studio Moves into New Office Space
Move driven by growth in business and employee expansion

RALEIGH – May 17, 2023 – Design Workshop, an international landscape architecture, planning and urban design firm, is pleased to announce they have moved their studio to 621 Hillsborough St. in Raleigh. The studio space is nearly three times the size of its previous location.

“The Raleigh studio has seen a 200% percent growth since 2020 and it was time to find space that gave us more of a creative studio environment,” said Emily McCoy, principal at Design Workshop. “Our best work is done collaboratively in-person so we built a studio space that facilitates communication and creativity while also offering “zoom rooms” to participate in virtual meetings without disrupting the studio.”

The Raleigh studio started as a remote office space in 2019 with two people and officially became a Design Workshop studio in 2020 with five people. The studio is now home to 20 employees. The Raleigh team is working on many prominent projects including:

  • Benjamin Franklin Parkway Public Realm Plan
  • Holly Springs Downtown Village District Plan
  • Georgia Tech Square 3
  • Park City South Mixed Use Development
  • Chattanooga, New Orleans and Asheville Parks System Plans
  • University of South Alabama School of Medicine
  • NC Museum of Art East Building and Park Improvements
