Boulevard One at Lowry

In 2007, the Air Force decommissioned Buckley Annex, creating one of the largest infill sites in east Denver and it was re-branded as Boulevard One in later years. The 70-acre Boulevard One site is the last undeveloped portion of the successful Lowry redevelopment project, surrounded by other well-established city neighborhoods. It offers balanced and diverse housing choices; opportunities to recreate in a hierarchy of parks and open spaces; and a mix of uses and quality amenities. The mixed-use node anchor on the east is united with the high density residential on the west by a residential boulevard, surrounded by a range of attached and detached homes which are oriented to open spaces and walkable trails and streets. Boulevard One is a vibrant, urban-inspired neighborhood that encourages movement and interaction through small block sizes, clear street hierarchies and acres of strategically located parks. The parks at Boulevard One build upon the success of Lowry to highlight how public and civic spaces are essential to creating a neighborhood that integrates with the surrounding community, embraces the importance of the outdoors in Colorado and serves as a vibrant hub for multiple generations and residents of all socio-economic levels.
