Midtown District

Houston, Texas

Houston’s urban oasis becomes lively with dynamic graphic accents

Design Workshop and Midtown Houston have grown together over the last decade. Along with our award-winning parks and streetscapes, we have also developed and designed a comprehensive signage plan for the district. Using the district’s branding palette and guidelines as visual parameters, we created a uniform signage system that works across all applications and includes street signs, educational signs, and seasonal rotating banners that hang throughout the district. Implementing our comprehensive set of guidelines for retail, residential, and commercial spaces has allowed the Midtown Redevelopment Authority (MRA) to efficiently design and fabricate new signs as the district grows and evolves. The result is a distinct sense of place and a comfortable and welcoming environment to locals and visitors alike.
