Austin Ridge Bible Church

Austin, Texas

Tying the indoors and outdoors together for a seamless visitor experience

The Austin Ridge Bible Church had the opportunity to redevelop and expand their campus for an improved visitor experience and revamp indoor and outdoor connections. The architect partnered with Design Workshop to refine the master plan and design a new series of buildings and outdoor spaces that knit the site and architecture together.

Inspired by the natural characteristics of the Texas Hill Country, the campus boasts both dramatic and subtle expressions of the surrounding geologies and flora. Telling the story of water, visitors experience a carefully choreographed series of channels as they make their way to a reflection pool. Diverse and flexible outdoor spaces accommodate a variety of events and gatherings providing human-scaled spaces within the site. The site is tied together by a cohesive signage and wayfinding program that provides clear and thoughtful direction throughout the campus.
