As a premier teaching and performing organization that hosts over 700 of the world’s top music students each summer, the Aspen Music School was looking to revitalize and redevelop the campus to better integrate with the natural landscape and the neighboring Aspen Country Day School campus. Design Workshop prepared a conceptual landscape design and master plan for the campus. The team created innovative designs that blend the studios and practice rooms with the hillside while also serving as geologic hazard mitigation. By developing the landscape architecture plans for restoration of disturbed areas and tree replacement strategies, Design Workshop was able to create a cohesive community campus that is sensitively integrated into the natural environment.
